SALCANTAY TREK 5 DAYS /4 NIGHTS
SALKANTAY 5D/ 4N
DAY 1: CUSCO – SORAYPAMPA.
We start the day picking you up from your hotel at 04:30 AM, then we will go on a tourist bus passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo arriving at Mollepata town (2900 m.s.n.m) where we will be there approximately 7:30 AM arriving at the town we have to pay s/ 20.00 nuevos soles which is the entrance to Mollepata and Humantay lagoon. We will also have our first breakfast and we will be able to leave our backpack (05 kilos for the horses), then we will take a transport that will take us to Challacancha for 1 hour (3380m.s.n.m), From that point we will start walking around 3 hours to get at Soraypampa (3900m.s.n.m) where we will be arriving at 1.30 pm there we will have our first lunch and first camp after lunch we will go to the beautiful Humantay lagoon.
LAGUNA HUMANTAY: Ascent for 1.30 minutes where we will arrive at the impressive Humantay lagoon (4220 masl) where we will be able to appreciate the turquoise color of the lagoon and the snow-capped Apu Humantay and then begin to descend for 40 minutes to our Soraypampa camp for lunch time. tea which is approximately at 6:00 p.m. and then we will have our delicious dinner prepared by our chef, finally we will go to our cabins.

DAY 2: SORAYMAPA –SALKANTAY- COLPAPAMPA
At 5:00 am we will have a delicious breakfast and then continue with our walk, we start from the point of Soraypampa to the highest point Abra Salkantay (3 hours) where we can appreciate the imposing snow-capped mountains of Salkantay, Humantay, Tucarhuay and Pumasillo (4650m.s.n.m) going through Salkantaypampa and Soyrococha where we will appreciate a small lagoon. Then we will begin the descent to Huayracmachay (3 hours) (3800m.s.n.m) where we will have our lunch then we will continue the walk where you will see a dramatic change in the landscape, this walk is really impressive then we continue down to Colpapampa (3 hours) (2900m.s.n.m) where our second camp will be there.
SORAYPAMPA-SALKANTAY-COLPAPAMPA (22 KM-10 HOURS)
DAY 3: COLPAPAMPA – SAHUAYACO BEACH
We will have our breakfast at 06:00 am, then we will walk for 05:30 minutes all through our jungle with flat ascents and descents, on this journey we will appreciate coffee plantations, orchids, begonias, bromeliads and many natural plants used for natural medicine , Arriving at our lunch point Playa Sahuayaco where we will have lunch «buffet». And we will stay to rest at that point. That it is a warm place and we will be in contact with nature at 06:00 pm, for our tea and dinner.
COLPAPAMPA –BEACH- (12 KM. 5 HOURS)
DAY 4: SAHUAYACO BEACH- LUCMABAMBA – LLACTAPATA – HYDROELECTRIC – AGUAS CALIENTES:
The sunrise will be in a tropical zone, we will have our breakfast ready to taste, we will continue our trip towards Lucmabamba and Llacta pata for 3 hours to the ruins, and if we have a sunny and clear day we will be able to appreciate part of the majestic Machupicchu from a distance. Then we will descend towards the hydroelectric plant for 2 hours where we will have lunch in the restaurant, then we will continue our walk through the tropical zone towards the town of Aguas Calientes for 3 more hours and we will get confortable in the hotel and wait for our dinner in a restaurant.
SAHUAYACO BEACH – LUCMABAMBA- LLACTAPATA – HYDROELECTRIC – AGUAS CALIENTES (20 KM, 9 HOURS)
DAY 5: AGUAS CALIENTES- MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO
We will get up very early in the morning to visit Machupicchu, where we will have a guided tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu to visit temples, terraces, palaces and the platforms, then you will have time to take photos.
Then you will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to wait for your Expedition train at 2:55 p.m. or 9:50 p.m.
Note: If in case you have a Machupicchu or HuaynaPicchu mountain, you will go in the first hours of 6AM – 8AM, knowing that you will not have the guided tour to Machupicchu because there is no time for the guided tour, you will go directly to the mentioned mountains.
(It is not included in the HuaynaPicchu or Machupicchu mountain package)
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
BRIEFING.
We will have a meeting before your trip with the guide in our office for a tour orientation. The meeting will be 5-6 or 7 p.m.
EXPERIENCE OF OUR GUIDES.
All our guides have a minimum experience of 3 years, our guides are: professionals, responsible, lovers of nature and mountains. They will make you a safe and happy trip.
FIRST AID.
All our guides received first aid courses in high mountains, our guides always carry a basic first aid kit
(altitude pills, diarrhea, vomiting, creams, creams for muscle pain.) Also oxygen in emergencies.
TRANSPORT
The following transportation services required within the tour are included:
• Tourist Transportation Cusco –Mollepata travel approximately 02h and 30 minutes.
• Transport Mollepata – Challacancha, approximate trip of 45 minutes.
• Tourist train Aguas Calientes –Ollantaytambo.
• TOURIST Transportation Ollantaytambo station – Cusco (Plaza regocijo).

TRAIN TICKETS
Return train schedules – The schedules we work with are the EXPEDITION TRAIN AT 2:55 p.m. and/or 9:50 p.m.
INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE CAMPS
We have camps established in each CAMPING PLACE :
• In Soraypampa: We have rustic cabins, with 13cm thick mats.
• In Colpapampa: We have domes, with 13cm thick mats.
• In Lucmabamba: We have domes, with 13cm thick mats.
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation that we include in the package is a BASIC HOTEL in the town of Aguas Calientes.

SUPPORT STAFF
• Official Tourism Guide –Certified in DIRCETUR with a minimum experience of 3 years. Groups of maximum 10 people.

• Muleteers and horses to carry all the camping equipment, kitchen.
• 5 kilos of the personal belongings of each passenger – The passenger’s baggage will also include the
weight of their sleeping bags. Only for the first 3 days.
