Traditional Sacred Valley Full Day
The Traditional Sacred Valley Tour takes you to explore three fascinating destinations of the Inca legacy: Pisaq, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero. The adventure begins with hotel pickup at 7:45 a.m. to start the tour at 8:00 a.m., ending around 7:00 p.m.
Pisaq: History and Ancestral Architecture
The first stop is Pisaq, an important Inca center divided into agricultural, urban, and funerary sectors. Its ancient cemetery, with more than 3,000 tombs on the mountainside, and its impressive terraces that optimized cultivation on steep terrain are particularly noteworthy.
Next, we will visit the town of Pisaq, famous for its silver and gemstone work. Here, we will attend an exhibition of pieces inspired by Andean iconography.
Urubamba: Rest and Gastronomy
Continuing the tour, we head to Urubamba, considered the capital of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. At this point, we will enjoy a buffet lunch overlooking the Vilcanota River, surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
Ollantaytambo: Fortress and Ceremonial Center
Further on, we will arrive at Ollantaytambo, a complex that combines military, religious, and administrative architecture. Its colossal stone walls and strategic layout are evidence of its importance during the Inca Empire.
Chinchero: Culture and Textile Tradition
On the way back to Cusco, the last stop is Chinchero, where you will find the remains of the hacienda of Túpac Inca Yupanqui. You will also visit a textile production center, where local artisans preserve the techniques of spinning and dyeing with natural pigments.
