This hike is good for those passengers who want to do a hike out of the big crowds and surround nature and beautiful scenery and combined with the highlight of Peru and Machu Picchu.
Huchuy Qosqo or Little Cusco is located on the Urubamba Valley and show you a great view of the Vilcanota range(mountains) This is Good area area which rarely sees other tourists people, just local residents working in their fields and their children playing outside their adobe houses .It will be a wonderful and cultural experience as well as a pleasant walk. It is also a good warm up for the traditional path of the Inca trail or other alternative hikes
Day 1: Cusco – Tauca – Huchuy Qosqo Pass – Huchuy Qosqo –
Lamay – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
We will pick you up from your hotel very early to go to Tauca town (3750masl) where it will be the starting point of our walk. During the walk we will see many fields such as corn, barley, potatoes, quinoa, etc. While we are going up the view will be more and more impressive changing the green cultivated fields for the puna covered with Andean grass or ichu. Our high point is at 4050 masl known as the «Paso» from here it will be possible to have the view of the most beautiful and exceptional snow-capped
mountains such as Pitusiray, Chicon and Sahuasiray, these mountains are over 5 thousand meters above the level from the sea. Shortly after reaching the highest point we will begin to go down through the Ccauca ravine to the archaeological center of Huchuy Qosqo, along the way we can also find small archaeological remains such as León Punku, Inca bridge and part of the original Inca trail , the landscape is changing as well as we can find different kinds of crops suchas Tarwi (lupins) other varieties of potatoes many a large number of cactus. This canyon has geological formations surrounded by majestic naturally carvedrocks that show you the river to Huchuy Qosqo (3650 masl).
Huchuy Qosqo (small Cusco) is a remarkable Inca complex. It has fine stonework on the walls (rectangular walls) some are residential sectors and defensive buildings with two floors in stone and adobe. Huchuy Qosqo is located on a plateau surrounded by Inca agricultural terraces and with good views of the Vilcabamba mountain range.Then, we will go down in direction of Lamay town (2900 masl) where we will take ther bus to go to Ollantaytambo town and from there we will continue our trip by train to Aguas Calientes town, dinner and night in a hotel.
Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
It is time to get up very early to have breakfast at the hotel. The best time to visit Machupichu is at
sunrise, it is optional to go up by bus or on foot. The first bus leaves at 5:30 am and takes 25 minutes to reach the citadel of Machupichu, which opens from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. First you will have a two-hour guided tour approximately where the guide will explain and show you about the history, architecture, temples, palaces, farmlands, etc. of the Inca culture, then you will have free time to visit the other optional mountains such as Huaynapicchu and Machupichu Mountain (if you book in advance) as well as the Inca bridge, the Puerta del Sol or enjoy the citadel itself. In the afternoon We will organize your return train from the town of Aguas Calientes to the Ollantaytambo train station and from there take the return bus to the city of Cusco and leave it at your respective hotel.

- La ciudad del Cusco se ubica a 3,399 metros sobre el nivel del mar (m.s.n.m.). A esa altura se recomienda beber mate de coca para combatir el mal de altura.
- El clima de Cusco es en su mayor parte templado. Los días son generalmente soleados en el día. Sin embargo, las lluvias pueden ocurrir en cualquier momento. Se aconseja llevar un poncho para la lluvia.
- Lleve consigo botellas de agua, snacks y dinero en efectivo. Además se aconseja usar bloqueador solar y vestir un gorro o sombrero.
