After breakfast we go to pick you-up from the hotel we go to Chinchero that is part of the sacred valley of the Incas, there we will have a textile exhibition of living Andean culture preserved in textiles, we will learn weaving techniques, as well as the use of natural dyes and different types of fibers and then continue to MORAY where you will see four circular agricultural terraces that were made in the Inca period in which they were used to create microclimates and generate different temperatures in them, and be able to get the best quality of Andean agricultural products. These circular terraces also show us the skill of the Inca engineers in the construction of irrigation channels and transportation of water to each terraces, all this spectacle is surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the eastern mountain range of the Andes. After Moray we will go to MARAS located in the upper parts of the sacred valley of the Incas which is inhabited by approximately 600 families who are the owners of the salt mines that has the same name as the town. Here you can see in each house its colonial stone portraits (facades), which show us that at a time in its history it was a place of great commercial activity. We will have the opportunity to try and taste the different kind of salt produced by the Maras salt mines, we continue to the SALT MINES. It is a beautiful natural attraction located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you can enjoy the more than 4,000 salt water pools that we have there. The use of the salt mine had been since pre-Inca and Inca times and until today, the technique used to harvest salt is by evaporation of water and this happens only in the season of the year that It is very warm (April – October) we continue to Urubamba where we will have the buffet lunch at the Don Ángel restaurant. Enjoy an excellent buffet lunch (vegetarian and vegan options available) in one of the best, highly rated restaurants in the Valley. After lunch we go to Ollantaytambo guided tour of the archaeological zone that was the checkpoint to the Jungle, finally: Then we will take you to the train station to board the train (15:30 pm) This 1:45 trip minutes by train where you will see amazing views on the route, before seeing Machu Picchu. Arrival at the town of Aguas Calientes, accommodation, free time, night in a three-star hotel.
The next day, depending on your entry time to the Machu Picchu citadel, we will pick you up at your hotel and go to the bus station, to ascend 400 m. high, along a zigzagging path, for 30 minutes until you reach the incredible world wonder The Historical Sanctuary of Machupichu. arriving at the citadel of Machu Picchu, we will go through the control, where we will show the tickets and begin our guided excursion, visiting the Main Plaza, the intihuatana, the temple of the sun, the guardian’s house, approximately for more than two hours. Then you will have free time to explore the place, descent to the town of Aguas Calientes by bus, time for lunch and rest.
In the afternoon we will board the return train from Aguas Calientes to the Ollantaytambo station where a transfer awaits to continue on a tourist bus to Cusco.
